2016-2017 Luban Prize winning project: Yan'an Grand Theatre
Located in the new district of Yan'an City, the Yan'an Grand Theatre covers an area of 33,134 square meters, with a total height of 36.2 meters. It has one underground floor (partially three floors) and three above-ground floors (partially four floors). It is a major livelihood project for enriching the spiritual and cultural life of the people of Yan'an. It mainly consists of three main functional halls: a 1211-seat grand theatre, a 474-seat concert hall, and a 431-seat drama theatre. Supporting facilities include a large conference room, exhibition hall, multi-function hall, dressing rooms, rehearsal hall, and VIP reception and rest rooms. It is a comprehensive public building integrating performances, conferences, and training.
