Last week, SCEGC No.11 Construction Engineering Group delivered a public housing renovation project in Xi’an — welcoming 1,627 families back to a community they have always called home.
Here’s what drove the project forward:
⚡ Built Faster, Delivered Earlier
• Standard floor construction cycle improved by 25%
• During the critical 30-day sprint, more than 650 workers were on site every day
• Peak construction area reached 4,500 m² per day
• Two residential towers topped out 2 months ahead of schedule
• Overall structural works completed 12 days early

🛡️ Focused on What Residents Care About Most
To address one of the biggest concerns in residential construction — water leakage — the project team introduced two targeted innovations:
Aluminium formwork with external pull-ties and internal bolts
→ Eliminated exposed wall holes and reduced leakage risks from the source
Expansion-reinforced belts replacing traditional post-cast strips
→ Reduced weak joints and improved crack resistance

🏆 Quality Recognized
The project received multiple honors, including:
• Provincial-level structural quality awards
• Green construction recognition
• Municipal safety excellence awards

🎓 More Than Construction
The project’s “Youth Pacemaker Team” supported residents throughout the handover process — from paperwork assistance to final apartment inspections — helping families move home with confidence and care.
This project was not simply about handing over buildings.
It was about rebuilding trust, renewing communities, and delivering urban renewal with precision, integrity, and pride.
