On April 25, 2026, the first building of the Phase II Student Living Area E Project at Xi’an Jiaotong University Innovation Port Campus, undertaken by Shaanxi Construction Engineering Group No.11 Construction Group (SCEGC No.11), successfully reached the ±0.000 (ground level) milestone, marking the transition to above-ground structural works.
Project snapshot:
📍 Located in the western zone of the Innovation Port Campus
📍 Total floor area: ~66,600 m² (5 dormitory buildings + underground garage)
📍 Capacity: 3,598 student beds
📍 5,752 m² dual-use civil defense facility – functioning as a parking garage in peacetime and an emergency shelter when required
Key achievements since mobilisation (Nov 21, 2025):
⚡ Site camp for 120+ staff – completed in 21 days
⚡ 119 retaining piles – completed in 23 days
⚡ First tower crane installed – within 38 days
To maintain momentum under a tight schedule, the team adopted a two-shift, staggered continuous operation model, ensuring seamless coordination across reinforcement, formwork, concrete pouring, and MEP rough-ins.
The team is now accelerating superstructure works, with continued focus on safety, quality, and timely delivery.
This milestone reflects the strong and ongoing partnership between SCEGC No.11 and Xi’an Jiaotong University—delivering resilient, sustainable, and future-ready campus infrastructure.
